One plan. No usage meter.
Throughline runs every step of the workflow on your own AI account, through a key you connect once. Because nothing here resells tokens, there is nothing to meter and nothing to tier.

Questions people actually ask
- Do I need an API key?
- Yes, your own, from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google AI Studio or Perplexity. Google's is the one you can get without putting a card down, so you can run the whole workflow before paying anybody anything. Every AI step runs on your key and that provider bills you directly, so the price above is the whole of what Throughline charges. Generation is never resold and no margin is taken on what you spend.
- What happens after the 7 days?
- The subscription renews at $19 a month. Cancel before then and you are charged nothing further. The $1 is not refunded, but it is all you pay.
- What happens if I cancel later?
- Your data stays. Existing projects become read-only rather than deleted, and export keeps working. You just cannot create new ones until you subscribe again.
- Is my research sent anywhere?
- To the AI provider you connected, with your own key, at the moment you run a step, and nowhere else. It is not sent to analytics and it is not used to train anything here. What that provider does with it is governed by the terms you hold with them, not with Throughline.
- Can I bring projects across from another tool?
- If you have a local JSON export in the supported legacy format, yes. You see a full preview before anything is written, get a migration report afterwards, and can roll the whole import back if you change your mind.
- Do you post to social platforms for me?
- No. Throughline prepares platform-native assets and schedules reminders; publishing stays in your hands. That is a deliberate choice: automated posting means holding tokens for your accounts, and it is not worth the risk to you.
